The path to a Ukrainian certificate: a certification algorithm for foreign specialists is presented

On May 12, 2026, a pilot project for certification of consulting engineers for foreigners was launched.

The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, together with the Interstate Guild of Consulting Engineers, held a Zoom conference that brought together more than 40 specialists from different parts of the world.

Experts from Italy, Turkey, Finland, Estonia, South Asian countries and other regions took part in the meeting.

The main goal is to prepare foreign specialists for certification and further certification as a consulting engineer (construction) in Ukraine.

This conference became the foundation for a pilot project aimed at creating:

🔗 a transparent mechanism for certification of foreigners.

🔗 a clear algorithm of actions: from submitting an application to obtaining a qualification document.

🔗 a clear legal basis for the work of international experts in the Ukrainian market.

Special attention during the discussion was paid to qualification criteria. The organizers explained in detail three key blocks of questions:

🔗Professional background: compliance of the level of education and practical experience with established standards.

🔗Legal verification: algorithm for recognizing foreign educational documents.

🔗Qualification exam: step-by-step description of the educational process, formation of a package of documents and procedure for testing knowledge.

International experts received comprehensive answers to practical questions regarding the specifics of professional activity in Ukraine.

The introduction of a certification system for foreigners is an important step for integrating world experience into Ukrainian construction and ensuring high quality engineering services during the reconstruction of Ukraine.
